How to add a watermark to an image online
Add a name, credit or short message to a photo with a live preview. The image is processed in your browser.
- Choose or drop one PNG, JPEG or WebP image. The image and a default text watermark appear immediately.
- Enter your watermark text, then adjust its size, color and opacity. Each change updates the preview automatically.
- Drag the outlined watermark into position, choose a corner or Center preset, or select Tile to repeat the text. Focus the outline and use arrow keys for fine adjustments; hold Shift for larger steps.
- Choose PNG, JPEG or WebP. Adjust quality for JPEG or WebP, then select Download image to save the watermarked image at its original dimensions.
One image at a time, up to 20 MB, 24 megapixels and 12000 pixels per side. Replace image opens another file; Clear image removes the current preview.
Can I move the watermark freely?
Yes. Drag the outlined text with a mouse or touch to set a custom position. The watermark stays inside the image. Tile mode repeats the text; choose a single position to drag it again.
Can I add a logo or watermark several images at once?
This editor supports a text watermark on one image at a time. Image logos and batch processing are not supported.
Does the downloaded image match the preview?
The download uses the text, position, size, color and opacity shown in the preview, at the original image dimensions. The outline and checkerboard are not exported. PNG preserves transparency; JPEG replaces transparent areas with white and uses lossy compression.
Why is my watermark hard to see?
Increase opacity or choose a color that contrasts with the image. An opacity of 0% makes the text invisible. Long text is reduced to fit inside the image.
Supported features and limits
Choose one image to preview a text watermark instantly. Drag it into place or use a preset position, and adjust size, color and opacity. Download PNG, JPEG or WebP at the original dimensions. Files stay in your browser.
Before you use the result
- Check the text, contrast and placement in the preview before downloading. The dashed drag outline is not included in the output.
- PNG supports transparent output. JPEG fills transparent areas with white; JPEG and WebP quality settings can affect fine detail.
- Keep your original image for future edits. This tool adds text to the downloaded pixels and does not edit the original file.
If Image Watermark does not work as expected
If an image cannot be opened, check its format and size limits. If the watermark is invisible, enter non-empty text and increase opacity or change its color. To drag a tiled watermark, first choose a single position such as Center.
